Last I checked the DOT reports to a Democrat President, and yet the above quote from the OP suggests that when it comes to arguably the most important decision the government will ever make WRT to U.S. airline pilot's careers, the administration is saying "eff you guys, but hey chumps, thanks for all the votes and campaign contributions over the years". At least the Republicans are up front about their support of business over labor.

Again we are in the middle, squeezed by business interests on one side and populist cheap airfare advocates on the other. Time to stop being politically naive and realize the only people who care about airline pilots are airline pilots and their families.
