I think there's more to it than you realize–it's not just "receiving credits for flying". The resources made available to the AABI 141 students are–in most cases–outstanding.
I don't know of many pt 61 pilots who have taken an advanced aerodynamics class or some type of advanced meteorology course. The education received at a 141 school is far more applicable than a social science degree from a community college.
