Nope, no studies but you're full of crap if you honestly believe that. My study is what I have witnessed with my own 2 eyes. Aviation college types can struggle just as bad. The NPRM was also heavily influenced by the universities that have the money to go lobby, joe blow flight school can't do that and make a dent in anything.
What you "witnessed with [your] own two eyes" was an exception to the rule and hardly constitutes any type of empirical data.

Apparently the pilot selection departments for UAL, Alaska, DAL, JetBlue, Eagle, ASA(XJet), SkyWest, Compass, Horizon are all "full of crap" too? They all have strong leanings toward Tier 1 AABI pt141/142 aviation program grads. Why? Because the findings of their internal studies are congruent with the studies conducted by other industry experts.

I think there's more to it than you realize–it's not just "receiving credits for flying". The resources made available to the AABI 141 students are–in most cases–outstanding.
I don't know of many pt 61 pilots who have taken an advanced aerodynamics class or some type of advanced meteorology course. The education received at a 141 school is far more applicable than a social science degree from a community college.

And then of course there's no comparison to my experience getting a masters degree, so maybe we should get rid of undergrad college all together, because all it does is verify you can take tests?
