I know it can be seen as "divide and conquer" but honestly I think it better positions pilots inline with other wage earners...The unions wouldn't bite on it though, since limiting the individual negotiating potential better postures the unions leverage to the pilot group. As a guy who's watched new employees come in, making various wages as negotiated with the company and commensurate with experience lends to employees who are more satisfied with their compensation.
