Seems to me that modern airline careers are becoming a sponsored hobby for most.
I would return to a regional if part time was available. If I could fly 2 days per month
only, say maybe 10 hours over those two days, I would consider it. I'm not saying I would do it cheaply or anything like that, but I would only be interested in being a part time airline pilot. If that means I'm not ever going to be Captain as a part time pilot, that's ok with me too.
After leaving the airlines in 2000, I went off into Information Technology and today own my own small technology business with employees. Today, I own my own airplane and enjoy flying more than I ever did as a hobby.
