Depends on the regional and depends on your seniority at that regional. When I left XJT for AAY (mind you this was almost 4 years ago) I was pretty senior could easily get almost everything I wanted in a schedule (days off, commutability etc)
When I went to AAY it was this way for a little while. When I first started even reserve wasn't so bad. As the schedules at AAY got worse so did QOL, there were some months (that I was commuting I know my choice) that I was home 4-5 days a month. That's it. Sure if I had moved to base it would have been better, but at that point my schedules at XJT were looking like puppy dogs and lollipop's compared to AAY. I was lucky and never got TDY'd but I know of plenty who have. I will also say this (maybe the guys who live in base could chime in too) but the schedules (at least 6 months ago) at AAY will burn you out, there is only so much to be said for being home every night when you work 6 days a week. So again, depends on the regional and where you are on the seniority list if a regional is better than allegiant.
This is all 100% accurate. Looking at the lines at Great Lakes, they are better than the ones at G4. That should say something.
