This will be your schedule:
1 R
2 R
3 off
4 R
5 off
6 R
7 R
8 R
9 R
10 off
11 R
12 off

17 off
18 R
19 R
20 off

22 off
23 R
24 off
25 off
26 R
27 off
28 R
29 R
30 R

This is the norm. TDY virtual is the new base you will be assigned. We aren’t to sure what it means exactly. This is what I’m hearing; Base determined monthly, you bid the above schedule of your choice. That’s a joke by the way. Your schedule choices will be what Mr. Ford’s first choice of cars was. Past practice of assigned RAP will indicate perfectly what you will get. End late on last day, and start early on first day.

Enjoy the commute.

Keep in mind that when the awards for the new TDY base were posted, there were only new captain upgrades and recently upgraded captains on there. This means that ZERO of our current FO's bid the base. It's looking like all newhires will be forced into this new TDY base at least until some new pilots are hired and trained after you. If you are single with no family in the city you live in and do not want to move, this may not be a bad deal as they most likely (guessing here) will airline you from your home to your TDY base on the first and last parts of the month. Your hotel and (maybe) a rental car will be paid for.

However, as mentioned above your schedule will not allow any sort of commutability with this TDY base. As it stands right now, this TDY base will not be a good idea for married pilots who want to actually see their families. To those who are applying due to the "home every night" aspect, take note.

I would rather go to Great Lakes before going to this company.

Ha! Had a Lakes guy in my NH class!
The basing strategery might be similar, but the pay and equipment is certainly nicer!! I'd rather live in PGD, PIE, or SFB instead of FOD, PGS, or the rest of the frozen North!!

Nicer equipment?? I'd be willing to bet Allegiant has shut down more engines in the last month than Great Lakes. Also, those lucky Great Lakes guys get all their days off clumped together in a week...none of this Tues/Wed/Sat nonsense.

But you are right on one thing: the hourly pay rate is better.
