You'd be better off putting that money towards a 737 type, buy some multi time, or get your instructor rating as you mentioned. I never had any formal airline training before I was hired by an airline. It's required by FAA, so you will get it for free someday. I don't think it will give you any advantage in getting hired anywhere.
