Why go to Omni which has a history of laying off pilots (especially with military spending reductions) when a growing airline like Spirit now has a 3-year upgrade?

All of the legacies are in hiring mode too - I heard Delta is hiring 50-60 per month for the next decade. I would think international 767 experience is likely to be attractive to many carriers.
