Many good options mentioned here, but here is one more. Find a four year school close to a KC135 reserve unit (McDill and Tampa to start) and try to get on as a boom operator. Wear a flight suite, get paid to go to college, start on your rating on the side. Your last year before you graduate, start applying to ANG or Reserve units for a pilot slot. Avoid active duty if you can. Too much drama and lots of drone flying. Back up plan is to go the civilian route but continue to reapply to ANG or reserve units. You have until your 30.
Good luck.
