They were 2000ft midfield downwind and came in hot and high with a tailwind. Can't seem to understand why he didn't go around. Touched down with less than 1500ft of runway left. Skid marks start around the 1000ft markers.
Pond is straight shot down 23 past the winding sidewalk. Golf course on the other side. He kept it pretty straight down runway barely missed a runway end light with nose tire before hitting pond on a 45 degree angle.
With no engine issues or any emergency? This guy needs his license taken away before he kills himself or someone else. Maybe this will prompt the FAA to take action. That just sound absolutely stupid. Complete lack of common sense.
