Got no where with SWA. Think I was over edumucated for their profile, or at least had been educated far beyond my intelligence and they knew it.
Went to 3 AIRINC job fairs 98-99. On my last one at the Sheraton in LAX, one of Plato's HR guys recognized me eating breakfast before the doors opened..
HR guy; "Are you still here?"
Me; "Yes sir, DL slowed down hiring from 100/mo to 10/mo, so I extended another year in the CG."
HR guy; "Great, here's my card..give me a call next week when I get back to ATL"
Waited 6 more months for the interview but I think the job fair definitely helped.
Job fairs seem like a lot of wasted time standing in line..but you never know what may happen as a result. JMHO
