No, you read me completely incorrectly.

I'm not saying we should be slamming anybody. We need to mentor and educate the new hires and treat them with the same respect we all deserve so that they will see the good work that he SIG is doing on our behalf. It shouldn't be that hard for even new hires to find out which pairings are disputed and what that means. I am a union mentor for a new hire class and every class for the past year has had one. Every new hire has at least one sponsor who helped them get here. The help is available to them if they need it.

First year pay, families to feed, locusts, floods, whatever. There are no excuses for voluntarily flying a DP except being a self centered, selfish, non-team playing mofo. There is no justification for such scabalicious behavior. Those are simply rationalizations, not justifications.

First year pay: separate issue, we all lived through it, we NEED to fix it in the next contract, no doubt.
