I've been hired by an airline after a 13 year hiatus from turboprop 121 flying. New FAR's require FO's to hold a type so I'm considering getting the E175 type ride done before airline training to reduce the steepness of the learning curve while in training. Anyone done this or know someone who has?
No way in hell should you go and buy a type rating that an airline is going to give you anyway. It's a huge waste of money...and if you've flown turboprops at a 121 carrier before, even if it was 13 years ago, you'll be fine.
