Just wanted to let you guys know that NOONE told us as newhires anything about DP's and the importance of not picking them up. I only learned about it through this message board and the email from the SIG that comes out every so often. I actually had to ask someone what a DP was!!! I don't fly DP's, but I think a lot of guys either don't know about DP's or are too lazy to look at opentime, then go back and see which trips are DP's.
The email from the SIG doesn't come out every once in a while, it comes out once a month. No one showed you where the bathroom was in AOC I imagine, yet you managed to find it.
No one told me about disputed pairings, but I learned about them from the first email I ever got about them from the Union. There is adequate information out there for those that care to listen....or more accurately, who don't cover their eyes and stick their fingers in their ears.
I am trying to get my 11 year old not to use the excuse that "no one told me"....tell me you're not seriously using that
