Our Strategic Preparedness and Strike Center is a one-room repurposed office in the already overcrowded MEC office space. If the MEC isn't serious about this, why should a rank and file member get serious?

I don't see flying what you bid, nothing more, nothing less, as a personal sacrifice. Maybe that's just me. There are times to get EXTRA, but now is not that time IMHO. We should not need union leadership to tell us that. That said, peak after a contract is signed should be a feast for all who want to partake.
As for words from leadership, they are telling us everything they want us to hear, not necessarily everything that is happening.
