Needless to say, I wanted to find out why I had been dismissed so quickly so I could use the information to better myself for other interviews down the road.
I'm not certain of the rules at EAS, but at many companies there is a specific policy prohibiting anyone involved in the interview process from discussing the decision with candidates. Again, not sure if EAS has such a rule, but it could be one explanation. Still frustrating I know.
