What prevents thrust reversal in mid-flight?
I remember a Lauda B767 that went down some 20 years ago due to this, but is there something mechanical to prevent a human from deploying thrust reversal in mid-flight? For instance if speed is over X kts, they will not deploy no matter what?
Speaking of that ill fated Lauda fight, does anyone know why the thrust reverser deployed? Software malfunction???
