The S. FL-TNCM flight is quite easy and full of diversion/tech stop locales. Use Landmark KTMB for a dept point. I would stear clear of FLL now. They are operating on 1 runway now and are prone to delays. TMB has great facilities, customs and a tower.

Provo is good but fairly pricey. Tread lightly or research Grand Turk. They have had no fuel at times.

There is only one area that will be "overwater". The stretch from GTK-DDP along RTE6 is the only area where you won't see land for a few minutes if your down in the mid 20's.

Once you get down to the TNCM area, they will use flight levels down low. It catches you off guard the first time you hear "descend to FL050." Enjoy the scenery! Great approach.
