Bedford's Whining.
I think Rev. Bedford's whinefest is appalling.
Since the "no" vote, he's taken every opportunity he can find to go about bad-mouthing his pilots for not accepting his lousy offer......AFTER 7 YEARS OF STONEWALLING!!!,....and after realizing that he needed to do something to attract new F/O's.
He's gone to Congress and whined. He's gone to the RAA and whined. He's gone to media outlets and whined. He's blatently lied about shrinking his airline due to the "no" vote,.......when it was made abundantly clear *PRIOR TO THE VOTE* that they had planned to shrink the airline when many of RAH's smaller, inefficient aircraft would be parked or returned when leases were up and in concert with the downsizing of United's Cleveland hub.
He's whined that his airline can no longer attract new pilots, because that darned ol' government-mandated safety related change keeps him from flooding his school house with doe-eyed, 250 hour, kids who are willing to swing gear in a totally awesome jet for 20 grand a year.
But according to Mr. Bedford, none of this would have happened if those greedy pilots would have simply, (and gratefully) accept his offerings, shut their mouths, and dutifully gone about making it possible for his $1.25 million annual paychecks to continue,....uninterrupted.
I hope my (greedy) brethren at RAH will remember Mr. Bedford's recent comments :
“We’re disappointed we couldn’t get to an agreement with the
pilots … We want them working with us and not against us.”
and continue to dutifully take their time and diligently conduct their pre-flight and post-flight inspections in such a manner as to insure that all RAH aircraft remain in a safe and airworthy condition. And when in doubt,.......write it up! We wouldn't want it to be another 7 years before the Good Reverend feels compelled to drop a few more crumbs.
