What Akin pointed out was that the vote was based on a lot of people being given bad information and a lot of promises that can't be delivered on. And now that the door is closed and the money gone, it won't reopen anywhere near what it was, regardless of what was promised. That's what is confusing to him. That so many didn't read, ask or question. They blindly followed a Pied Piper who hasn't delivered on one promise yet.
Ah, got it. People like Akin know what's best for the Republic pilots because they've been in the business for so many years. The Republic pilots don't know what's best for themselves- they're just mice following a magical flutist!
Sounds like the posts between this one and my post above speak for themselves. Seems to me that the Republic pilots are more than capable of making an educated decision, and further, had the guts to say "no more" even though it is costing them money and perhaps might cost them their jobs at Republic someday.
He-he. And now the money is gone, huh? Was the last contract offering one of those "last, best, final," offers I hear so much about in the regional airline biz?
