First off, if you actually takeoff knowing of a "missing placard" then asap it I must say A) don't be that tool.. and B) does the asap committee actually allow you to depart knowing the plane is "unairworthy"? You admit in your asap you knew something was broke then allowed the flight to depart anyway. You are as at fault as the captain for allowing the flight to go, and an asap shouldn't separate you from that liability.. if I ran the erc, I'd find you more at fault because you are the one who knew it was broke, the captain may use any defense including "he never told me" and he'd be off the hook that you hung yourself on.. but I don't run the erc I guess..

Second, the ta, yes, it was a bum deal. Arguing about voting for or against it? Lets all at least respect the decision of the pilot group and stand united in that. But lets also respect the 15% that voted yes for various reasons. I don't think it's unreasonable to say we should have taken some gains now then try to negotiate more in next round (be it 3, 5, or 10 years). Because now we go back to the table with no gains, same old contract, for an indefinite period of time. If we are voting on a new ta within 2 years then it will be fair to say we held out for more gains. As of now I think it's perfectly fair to say we took zero gains and nothing on the horizon. Time will tell us who is more right

As for Bedford, yes, it is funny that after 7 years of stonewalling we have to hear him cry about one no vote. But he holds the microphone I guess.. all we have is this forum where there is no shortage of crying pilots, mark me one of them...
I do not allow these idiot captains like Loon to get away with it. They ***** and moan and complain cause now we take a delay at the outstation on go home day. Or get cancelled and lose pay. Or get stuck in base and have to walk to the crash pad in the snow. I ASAP the fact they were willing to circumvent the rules for the company and make it a point that this company encourages this by not paying us for cancellations. They care much more about their on time record than safety. There are serious safety and regulatory issues here. Anyone who bends over like Loon (Gary?) only contributes to things remaining this way. Fly safe. I know I do. Every leg. Regardless of how much personal suffering it causes.
