If you allow a jet to depart a gate with a known airworthiness isue then you are just as worthy of certificate action as the Captain if the FAA discovers your actions. Allowing someone to do something wrong and then using ASAP as a tool to punish them is pretty petty and just plain wrong and you know it. If I were an FAA inspector I'd make sure I had a second rope to hang you by in such an event. Have a good day.
