If I read this right, if someone is in training to fill an FO vacancy, if he gets delayed long enough, he can bump to any position his seniority will hold, including captain, even though there was not captain vacancy, thus creating a second training event for whoever gets bumped, etc. Outta control.
Yes. If there is a junior person "awarded" the position, even if they haven't been trained, they can still bump to that position. A ton of 76T guys in DEN and elsewhere are well aware of this and waiting patiently to move into a new seat without a freeze.
