Look, they want their feed in house. Envoy pilots made them look bad. You're dealing with people who in spite of their high position do hold grudges and will be vindictive if they can sell it as "just business." I've known them for several decades, it's who they are and how they operate.
They needed to be able to keep their word, to say "we told you so" and send some planes elsewhere. It wasn't as easy as they had anticipated, nor as cheap. They have since told their upper managers (Glass, Pedro...etc) to fix this.
This means you can expect some type of talks to begin with your union soon about placing the rest of the planes at Envoy. I was told that Pedro was at an Envoy union meeting just within the past few days. The process may be already underway. You have more leverage than you may realize, don't waste it.
