After reading the forums it also appears the airbus is the best choice for a commuter because more days blocked together when assigned a trip. Are my conclusions correct? Please post or PM if you have other suggestions.
Honestly, I'd go for the 190 in JFK if you get it. You'll PROBABLY wind up getting a line faster that way, but who knows? Things change on the drop of a dime in JFK, especially on the 190. Both are gonna give you about the same when you get assigned a trip. There's a good mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 days on the 190. There's just more trips in generally on the Airbus in JFK since there's just so much more flying out of there on the Bus.
I did the MEM-JFK commute for about 9 months, and it's not the easiest one out there. I was still at Pinnacle at the time, so I wound up bidding my schedule around FedEx since it was the ONLY airline that flew non-stop from MEM-JFK. If I started or ended on a Sat or Sun, it was a cab/Airporter shuttle over to LGA to get home. With Delta basically turning MEM into an outstation, it may have gotten even more difficult. I have a friend that still does the MEM-JFK commute, and she has to two leg it a lot of the time. She also winds up going JFK-MCO at least once a month so she can crash at my place instead of in NY overnight since she missed the last MEM flight.
