You'll head to CLT after you do 2 weeks of Indoc in ATW; at that point you'll have your ID so you can jumpseat. If you want to go home on a break from sim/FTD that's fine (the schedules are often more accommodating for that) but unless your distance is drivable in an emergency I wouldn't advise going during systems.

Since we're talking about it, where do newhires stay in CLT? Are they in the Amerisuites by the Starbucks/Wendy's/Sonic that folks doing PCs stay at?
