Does everyone here just ignore the fact that a lot of people pick a place to work based on location/living in base? Seems to me like making a few bucks less an hour but living where you work is worth it for someone...everyone has to determine what their qol/time is worth.
Coming from the mil side I've done nothing but fly big jets...my transition to the airline world would be based solely on what works best for my family in terms of qol....I don't care what airplane it is.

Tunes, this is totally legitimate and most people will agree that a move close to home is a good move. Period.
However, the discussion here is not about living in a convenient place. It's about sacrificing pay for bigger Jets. And the answer should always be NO. But apparently 1 in 5 pilots just don't get it.
