To be honest with you this situation hasn't changed my thinking at all. I suppose I was more optimistic when all the major airlines started hiring but after a year and guys I know who are exceptionally qualified are still not getting calls? I realized there was no hope other than a flow through for me.

I believe what I can see. I can see that PSA, Mesa, Skywest, and Compass are all meeting their staffing goals. The regionals who aren't are having trouble because of bad contracts, a lack of future, or both (us). If regionals who have good contracts and/or growth begin to struggle I'll start to wonder about a "regional pilot shortage". Until that time I'm inclined to believe that the company can and will place those aircraft elsewhere and the improved flow through programs will likely go with them.
