Same with me as cbire880 we were down there and met up and both talked with them. they seemed really nice, and asked if i was available w in two weeks and i said yes, but they then said that they need to review my resume more and that since i only have 50-100 hrs in the last 6 mo. that it may not be enough,but they will be in touch. Im hoping they will call me this week and ask if im willin to go. If not maybe in the near future i will hear from them. I thought it was strange, since 4 other regionals told me they want me to come to their headquarters so we can do the sim and talk about class dates. They all said theyd be in touch this week. Overall ATL was a great exp. I am 25 and prob one of the youngest there this weekend. Most everyone was going for the majors FEdEx, Delta, COA etc. But there were a handful of guys in there 30s and 40s looking at regionals too. Im happy with what i learned and also the airlines I spoke with. AWAC is only hiring as of now " 120 pilots this year" , from what I hear though I think it will be a lot more than that if the so called "floodgates are open" ....only time will tell i guess.
