I don't mean they're "very forgiving" in terms of standards. FaceBiter's gonna twist those words to no end now (jeez what is his beef with Mesa?!?!??!). So I deleted that post to save him/her some time.
By "forgiving" I meant they're much more willing to give people a few extra sim sessions, and a bit more time to study compared to many other regionals. They won't send you to the street unless you've proven again and again that you aren't going to hack it on the line.
Part of that is AQP, part of that is our training department's culture and the top notch people who work in it.
I don't mean to be a Mesa cheerleader--there are lots of things needing fixing around here--I'm just saying if you fail at Mesa you probably got the fairest shot possible in our training department, and you would very likely washout much quicker in a less forgiving/stingy training department and/or with some of the psycho check airmen at certain other 121 regionals with whom I am familiar.
