I'd argue that a 121 is not a place to be learning your craft. That's what all that time building is for. You shouldn't be learning how to fly with 76 people behind you.
Obviously there are tests that have to be passed and standards which must be met, but let's face it you're not going to learn everything you need to know in ground school.
If I ever get to the point where I feel that I need to stop learning, then I need to remove myself from the cockpit. That is a very dangerous attitude.
