A question to the guys getting calls:
Are the military guys retired, or reserve/guard?
I'm wondering if maybe they are trying to hire retired guys over those that still have a commitment with the reserves.
I'm a reservist with a CP LOR...hearing crickets.
Got hired last year. Had all my AFRES stuff on resume and currently active with reserve on Airlineapps. They made no differentiation. There are tons of us at UAL. Honestly don't think they see them differently. It is incumbent on us though not to screw it up for future ANG AFRES folks, by doing our best to stay current and qualified as much as possible. I give them plenty if notice when I have orders, and plan longer sets of orders(30-60 days) around currency at UAL
