Just look at people going to Expressjet. With everything we know about this industry over the past 15 years, who in gods name would take a job at an airline with all 50 seaters on renewing two year contracts?

It's a misplaced sense of pride. I have some friends who went to expressjet recently and they rag on me for going to Mesa. My response to them? I'd rather be a mesa captain than an expressjet FO. Who knows what will happen in the end, but when I came here over a year ago and weighed my options, Mesa definitely seemed (and still does) to be a better option of the two.
Without listening to what just pilots say, all one has to do is just look at what is being said about these companies on any finance website.
