3 jets in already, IOE has never been that big of a deal. day 1 is a $h!t show then by day 4 or 5 you pretty much have assimilated in the collective suck. I've always thought the checkride was far more stressful than IOE ever has been, at least as an FO.
Yeah, I'm not saying the checkride isn't stressful, it is (especially the first one). Most of the new FO's that I know were the most stressed out during IOE because of the pace of the operations (especially out of places like O'Hare) and trying to land a 70K + lb aircraft with an approach speed that is faster than the max cruise speed on anything they have flown (most of these guys were cfi's flying 172's).
Of course, there's always the added stress that comes from flying with a complete psychopath who also happens to be your checkairman...
