Reading a few more of the most recent posts leaves me with two more questions:

1- Any idea of how much training costs to pay back, before being prorated?
2- If the training contract doesn't start until the completion of IOE, how long does it typically take from day 1 of training to complete IOE?

Thanks for all the help.
First year pay at a major is more than $11,000 over what a first year regional FO makes. So essentially, yeah, you're literally coming out ahead the first year even if you pay the full contract, which also touches on your other question. The full training contract is 11K and change.

To finish IOE, you're probably looking at 2-3 months (mostly depending on simulator availability).
