Flying in Alaska is the most fun you'll ever have in an airplane. That said you'll be wet, dirty, tired, sore and run ragged even if you never make a gravel landing.
Very very true. I spent a year and a half in western Alaska, but decided to get out. Right now I am in training at a local company that will have me home every night.
