PJ's off of Spenard was a real circus act until they got shut down.. Where else do they hire a guy to come out between dancers and do magic tricks?? It was a true **** hole....but watching fat chicks try and spin around a pole was a real treat after a long trip..

Flying in Alaska is the most fun you'll ever have in an airplane. That said you'll be wet, dirty, tired, sore and run ragged even if you never make a gravel landing.
Oh my God, is it really that bad up there???

You forgot the part about flying up Lynn Canal at "500 & 2" while maintaining gliding distance to the vertical walls of a glacier fjord.

It's always funny watching people who've never been there rip on it too. Had a few guys who came out in early fall for a class claiming how it's not really that tough up there. The first low vis/high wind day sent them packing.

LMFAO!!! I prefer the Birdhouse.

Alaska was fun in a certain kind of way. Depends what you do up there. Im not sure what a bush pilot is but if you want to fly out west doing air taxi (which is what most of the flying is) youll get burnt out and most of it isnt in the pristine beautiful places of postcard Alaska. After your burnt out youll go home and after sometime youll want to go back for some strange reason unbeknownst to yourself. Maybe its the taste of brothers pizza, or sleeping on a cargo board in a 207, or really the people up there that make it awesome. most everyone who's there has the can do were in it together attitude and that what i liked. The flying is fun to and a lot of work. If you can get into the off airport stuff its an absolute blast and will take you to places most people never get to see. Ive always been partial to taildraggers but floats will get you there too.

Want a job there? buy an airline ticket and have fun for a week around lake hood knocking on doors. pm me and i can give you some ideas
