They have been able to co-opt the Local 1224 infrastructure, use it to syphon off Abx Air pilot positions, take control of a substantial Abx Air pilot funded union war chest and further their own interests all while appearing to promote union solidarity. So now it is spun by CA Wells to say it is a good deal for Abx Air pilots for the planes to go to Atlas because of preferential hiring. Ok, so take a 17-year Abx guy and put him as a new hire at the bottom of the Atlas list. Atlas gets an experienced already trained Abx pilot, at first year pay and benefits and DHL maintains system integrity. Now DHL has a first year pay scale pilot doing the same job for much less at Atlas.

CA Wells says DHL and Atlas management are OK with the plan for preferential hiring. I am sure they are.
