This is not a new idea. The ALPA FFD task group has had this as their main career protection mechanism.
At one point, XJT & CMR were thinking about doing this.
We need less talking and more action. I have absolutely no experience with serving on a union so I have no idea where to begin, but something like this needs to happen.
