Almost no one owns the metal they fly. XJT is not wholly owned and the majority of our fleet is owned/leased by DAL and UAL then subleased to us. The exception being most of the CR7 fleet and the older CR2's.

Every 900 in Delta paint, regardless of operator, is owned by DAL. Obviously this is so Delta can whipsaw their operators and transfer airplanes where they want to. Scope language at all the DCI carriers would prevent that from happening.
