It's actually a serious question. I can't speak for other carriers with independent representation, I can only speak from personal experience. While USAPA's tactics were and remain questionable, they look out for who they represent "US Airways East." Same goes for the APA, they look out for the pilots they represent, those on the American Airlines seniority list. Southwest and SWAPA...same deal.

I have plenty of friends stuck at the regionals and a good majority of them swear allegiance to ALPA. I look at the these regionals (wholly owned or not) "represented" by ALPA fighting for each other's scraps.

Just looking for some honest feedback, it's not my intention to sound offensive.
