Why would American and USAir pilots want to dilute their seniority with a merger with the regional carriers? There are no staffing issues at mainline so who does this really help?

Maybe you should also propose your 401k be exchanged share for share with Berkshire Hathaway. It would only be "fair" and solve your retirement concerns.....
