Now finish the rest of your thought and realize that majors are looking to consolidate their operations into reliable, fuel efficient aircraft, and represent their product themselves. Even the people who make the RJs are no longer planning on making aircraft of "regional" size.

10 years from now "regionals" will not exist the way they did in the past.
