Also, is there any issue with jumpseating on a company aircraft to attend? I'm on my way to a trip via MEM that day, so I can't see why it would be an issue for me. This ID question got me wondering if someone would have an issue with a pilot using the company JS specifically to attend this event.
I have no idea what the deal is with IDs. I'd call and ask, but the message from ALPA was unsigned -- who knows?
You can always jumpseat in Personal Status, anywhere, anytime.
You can jumpseat in Staging Status between your base and your home airport(s), anytime.
You can jumpseat in Business Status within 2 days of an event to/from your base or where a trip begins/ends from/to anywhere.
I think that's about right ...
