Generally speaking, you will probably have better luck going near the high side, especially with some experience. It shows you think something of your time and capability. If they seriously want to haggle too much you probably don't want to work for them anyway. I know a guy who just got a King Air gig because he charged $200 a day more than the next candidate. Selling yourself short can mean more than just less pay; it can easily make the difference in getting the job. Good luck
