I think you're missing Check Complete's point. We're all professional pilots, and should stop thinking like you and flapshalfspeed. The constant slide in the profession needs to stop no matter what, and that begins with pilot groups refusing any more concessions! Mesa's contract has a whole lot of room for improvement, and if JO claims he can't afford to increase your pay and benefits that's his problem, not yours. I can't think of too many outfits that have lower pay and benefits than Mesa, so don't be so afraid to demand improvements!!
1) We're filling classes
2) We're getting new airplanes and securing more flying
3) The chances of the NMB releasing any pilot group to strike is roughly the same as winning a state lottery (thanks, RLA!)
4) People show up to work everyday, and our performance numbers are solid
5) Individual ALPA carriers are allowed to blatantly undercut other ALPA carriers to get more flying, with the blessing of ALPA national (PSA)
Please explain to me why any CEO who wasn't COMPLETELY out of his mind would give us a single penny more than what we're paid now. Explain to me what exactly MAG ALPA could ever hope to do to change his mind when the above 5 points are true. I'm all ears--convince me why exactly JO would give us a raise.
