It is my understanding that DL does not reduces the company provided LTD payout like this.

Im not sure about that. In the LTD section of the MOU it states that the APA has a plan that can be bought for an additional $1000-$6000 of benefit. The word "additional" leads me to believe it doesn't offset the company LTD. If it did, there would be no point in the APA having such a program. But maybe im reading it wrong..
