Is it so much to ask for a few goals and a little leadership?

Jet fuel dropped from $2.68 to $2.58 yesterday netting Delta $400 annually in one single day. $2.5 billion annually since the high of $3.22 in Feb 2013.

Say what you will about Captain Malone, but he had goals, he communicated and he led. All we hear is silence.

RA communicates his goals. Why not benchmark the master?
Again, the point was that maybe it is YOU that is out of touch with the rest of the group. If 65% finds whatever the TA is... in whatever the negotiating environment is.. to be acceptable.. then it is acceptable. I get what you are saying, and fwiw, I agree that we should see great gains in the upcoming contract, but if waiting an indeterminate period of time to get what you call "restoration" is not acceptable to the group, then you better learn to accept that. The statistically significant part of the group is probably more happy than the discontented vocal minority that frequents these boards, so they don't want to bother with the survey, so they don't and dALPA has to "beg" them to fill it out. And I have my number as to what is acceptable to me, it probably doesn't match yours, and I am not willing to wait for your number to come true as are probably many others that have a vote who understand TVM.

Stated goals for public consumption is worthless IMHO. I just read an article in the WSJ that stated the average hourly wage in the US is DOWN to $24.53. Average. Our customers. Median income is down under this administration. They have zero sympathy for us, and if you believe otherwise you are completely off the rails. So let's take out a full page add in USA today informing them that the poor downtrodden 777 captains should be making $350/hour. Yeah.. that'll show management that we mean business.

Negotiations are coming. That's the time for goals and such. Until then... it's just DPA sponsored bluster.
