Ok I see where you all are coming from, but I would not be in the industry if I had not taken a job at a regional. I could sit on the sidelines all day waiting for rj pay to increase to mainline pay or I could take a job at a regional and work to bring pay and quality of life back.
I think the difference here is starting vs. a new start. You want an airline job you have to fly at a regional first, with few exceptions for high time military pilots. Now If I had gone and applied to gojets knowing they are an alter ego airline used to bust a union contract that would be an entirely different story.
So what’s the big deal in posting a list of all airline pilots? I would gladly put my name under skyw; guess I would fall into the regional pilot scab type category with the thousands of other guys who work for regionals.
